MLM Marketing Part 2: Admin and Distributor Tools

The real title should be MLM Marketing and SEO Dangers.

In the last 8 months, we've seen a growing swell of companies seeking every venue they can to increase their sales and penetration into the MLM Industry.  Many companies will place tools at the finger tips of distributors, while others hire SEO Marketers.  Both meet a similar fate.

Today, we are releasing part 2 of our 4 part series on several marketing methods, their pros and cons... (at this point in time).  One of the most important things to understand in marketing your MLM Business is that successful marketing practices are continuing to change.

The series, as first planned, will cover 4 primary areas.
  • Website Design (View Part 1)
  • Admin and Distributor Tools
  • SEO Marketing
  • Clear Marketing and Advertising

Admin and Distributor Tools

With a continual swell of SEO and Marketing Tools, geared towards fooling the search engines, to get you closer to the top... companies fall prey to ideas and methods which should not be used, often avoiding great ideas and methods.  Firstly, a solid Direct Selling and MLM Software Platform, designed to provide the best visibility of any MLM Software program...

Distributor Blogging

Hungry distributors will say anything.  Keep that in mind.  They will guarantee income to those joining their downline or a cure for cancer from a particular bottle of pills.  My father used to say "Desperate People do Desperate Things".  Let's face it... if your company is not focused on selling real products to real consumers first, then you have probably fallen in the direction of marketing your products to Distributors, creating an endless chain of recruiting.  It only takes a few web searches for you to see the folly in this method.  You've planted a big red flag on your corp, attracting the regulators.  Additionally, you set the atmosphere of your sales force.  This atmosphere often means lot's of registrations with little to no actual earnings.  Thus... "Desperate People!"  This leads to improper claims of earnings and products on public forums, blogs, posts, emails and more.

A few companies are in the market to specifically provide blog tools to distributors.  Avoid and live, embrace and die!

Solid companies no the risk and the cost of legal battles.  These companies define in their Policies and Procedures that the company's name, products and opportunity may not be posted on any third party site by any distributor.  That sounds excessive to new companies, seeking distributors to spread the word.  As a kid, there was a game parents would play with children at Church.  Line up 20 kids and whisper a message into the ear of the first kid.  Let each kid whisper to the next.  The last kid would then right down the message.  We would all laugh, as the message was completely different from the original.  In the MLM Industry, as close as 3 generations from your lips... your corp message is so distorted that it should not be shared AT ALL!  Often 1 generation from your lips can create legal troubles.  Why is that?  Atmosphere of the crowd sways thoughts and intentions, personal situation and desperation, as well as mistake of understanding your message.

Conclusion: Distributor Blogging is a huge risk.  Only companies prepared to deliver pre-defined corporate messages, for Distributors to post un-altered should participate.  Additionally, multiple Distributors should have varied content and not duplicates of one another.  Thus, you will need a department that specializes in generating corp approved content.  Few have the resources to develop and approve content on this scale.

Admin Blogging

Admin Blogging can be a huge asset.  The important difference, is that you are stating the content yourself.  Hopefully, you sought legal review on the content before posting.

Proper replicated subdomain sites in your MLM Software will allow the blog to be duplicated onto all distributor sudomains.  Some will argue there to be negative marks in Google for the duplication, however we find this not to be the case, especially if sufficient differences exist of other content within the replicated page of Distributor.

AutoBlogging is a method of automatically gathering data and drafting blogs through software.  We have an incredible tool built in our platform, however you should use caution as it can be misused.  If misused, it will bring negative marks against search engine performance.  The best use of AutoBlogging is the automated creation, followed by your manual edit and rewrite into your own words.  Used this way, it could be seen as a memory jogger or blog content starter.  Either way, the true nature of your edits will take a couple paragraphs of an AutoBlog and quickly expand them into 5-6 paragraphs of unique web content.  This is the richest form of on-page content you can achieve!

Distributor Emails

In days gone by, many MLM Software and Direct Selling Software programs offered a back office feature for Distributor Emailing.  The featured allowed Distributors to upload or enter a list of contacts, draft an email and fire it out... Ok, what just happened?

  1. A list, unknown by corp, with unknown subscription confirmation was loaded into the back office by Distributor
  2. A message was drafted by Distributor
  3. Email was Sent to All
  4. Email was Sent form Corp Domain and IP

Do we really need to go into detail here?  Everything about this spells trouble.  SPAM is the unsolicited sending of email.  You have just provided a feature for Distributors to SPAM anyone they want, with any Message they Type Up, promising Anything, and sent from your Domain and IP.  OUCH!  Do you think the corp might be liable for the SPAM?  Do you think the corp might be liable for the Message of Email?  Do you think the Domain or IP could be added to SPAM Black Lists, preventing regular email from landing in peoples inboxes in the future?
Just a guess... I would say all the above!

Now I am not a lawyer, but come on folks... use your head!

  • Not everything you have seen before should be used.
  • Not everything made available in another MLM Software should have ever been there for use.
  • Not everything a Distributor claims another Corp had in Distributor Back Offices should be in yours.

Also, technology changes, tools change, as well as laws and best practices.  Consult with your attorney on features such as these.

If your attorney signs off on them... question his knowledge of technology and the subject you presented.  Not every attorney understands every feature and the implications as first shared by you.

Admin Emails

Very simple.  After reading the above, on Distributors... it should be clear that risks exist with emailing.  In fact, uploading an email list, bulk sending, the message content and IP implications should all be considered.

Use of external email relays, often allow for protected handling of large volumes of email, however there must be permission involved or will be spam.  For years, has provided a reasonable service for relaying bulk email.  Using an IP rotation, they generally provide pretty good delivery.  Unfortunately, the receiving domains have increased their rules and checks for flagging as spam.  In short, delivery to Inbox is the final desire and we are now seeing SendGrid as the most desirable service to date.

SEO Marketing

SEO Marketing is a double edged sword.  Marketers promise the world, deliver little and that which is delivered is often penalized by Google.  There is "SOME" truth to SEO Marketing, however far from the promotions you are pitched.  It comes down to Content on your page, contextually relevant to what someone is searching for.  Enough pages of relevance, coupled with referring domains of relevance will aid in your results.  It is best to contract Marketing and Advertising Services verses SEO Marketing, as SEO Marketing will often lead to penalization, even if they promise it won't.

Distributors are often in need of success.  That said, they often act as if in desperation.  That said, they will often push SEO Tactics towards your site or their replicated one, leading to penalization.

Clear Marketing and Advertising

Take time to develop a true Marketing and Advertising Plan.  If you need help, see or for assistance.  We develop ads for TV, Radio, Web, Adwords and AdCenter, Print and much more.  We also lead a true focus on the contextual relevance of every area of your site.

MLM Marketing Part 1: Website Design

The real title should be MLM Marketing and SEO Dangers.

In the last 8 months, we've seen a growing swell of companies seeking every venue they can to increase their sales and penetration into the MLM Industry.  Many companies will place tools at the finger tips of distributors, while others hire SEO Marketers.  Both meet a similar fate.

Today, we will begin a 4 part series on several marketing methods, their pros and cons... (at this point in time).  One of the most important things to understand in marketing your MLM Business is that successful marketing practices are continuing to change.

The series, as first planned, will cover 4 primary areas.

  • Website Design
  • Admin and Distributor Tools
  • SEO Marketing
  • Clear Marketing and Advertising

Website Design

It may sound strange to start off with this category, but this is a critical key to marketing.  SEO Marketers will push that keywords in the head section are important.  Let me share a FACT, from one of our own websites...

Jan1-Jul31 2012 3% of our traffic used Mobile Devices
Jan1-Jul31 2013 33% of our traffic use Mobile Devices!

Mobile Devices include Phones and Tablets, thus represent a huge range of sizes.
To my surprise, Nokia Lumia models were dominate, very dominate.
Also, where I view Internet Explorer as becoming less important for desktop viewers, overall, it was extremely dominate, due to the mobile devices they are embedded in.  Due to the new Windows 8 for desktop and cloud-based Microsoft Products, the won't be going any where.

I only highlight a couple items from our research and data.
These items can be shocking.
Simply take a moment, lean back in your chair and consider that 1/3 of your traffic is from Mobile Devices.
Hmmm, so with the discussion of MLM Marketing and SEO Dangers, we will start off with this discussion of MLM Website Design.

Currently, there is a laundry list of things to do, including:

Responsive Design

Some build from PC down to smaller devices, others build Mobile First... that is small layout first, then scale up.  Today, people are using iPads, iPad Mini, Kindles, Net Books, Smart Phones, and hundreds/thousands of other devices, each with different dimensions or viewports.  We have past the era of building a mobile app for your website.  Those are very limiting.  They are handy if you have a particular tool or video training series you wish people to access.  The fact is, your entire website is needed, not a widget/app.  We are quickly finding apps as you know them, from last year to be seldom used.  That said, there is a new vein of Apps... Web Apps, i.e. web-based third party plugins.  That is another story, but accounting, lead capture, newsletters, analytic, all are available as third party plugins.  Of course, you need to consider the value of someone else holding your data.  Thus, Web Apps exist, are usable, but we are holding back on them, at this point.  Responsive Designs are important so the larges number of visitors can actually visit and view your website.

HTML5 is a bit more streamlined structure of coding, however also introduces additional element tags, which can better define regions of the webpage.  As soon as HTML5 becomes fully defined, the next version of HTML will come out.  That said, programming your MLM Software and MLM Website with HTML 5 will render it more view-able across devices and should provide better speed.  The kicker is that many programmers have used elements or methods which required Transitional doc type.  Going to HTML5 requires a true rebuild.  When we get into responsive and HTML5, Bootstrap, Shim, Normalizers and other items will be thrown on the table.  They may be needed for your site, but only your programmer can tell you.  The purpose of this article is to discuss Marketing and not to provide programming instructions, so you can appreciate the pull back here.

CSS3 is soon to be out dated... imagine that!  But, CSS3 is the most current that your programmers will probably utilize.  It allows for animation on the page, circles to spin, text to slid in, all with CSS and without scripts.  Why is this important?  Many devices don't render scripts correctly, if at all.  Additionally, a paragraph of text in javascript, animated to the page, will often never be seen by Search Engine Bots, thus content and contextual relevance is lost.  CSS allows the existing text on page, that which is viewed by Search Engine Bots as content... this text is animated, thus not hidden with javascript.  Both methods render animation to a user, some devices don't render.  Most important is that CSS method also provides better content reading by search engines.
Now, the flip side... not all browsers are compatible with CSS3 or the pseudo classes that it utilizes.  Generally, the most current browsers today are good, but those that have not updated will have issue.  Thus, your MLM Software Programmer has to account for and provide fall-backs methods for other versions... argh!

This is a big issue, as MLM Software Platforms rely greatly on creating tables dynamically, with large volumes of data, to deliver a table or grid of information on the screen, either in shopping areas or in back office areas.  Tables don't play well with responsive design and can make an overall design function poorly.  That said, it is a slow migration for the core source code of any MLM Software Provider to change.  Modifying to Div based structures and the CSS to control the layout is a completely different build.  I do expect changes to come soon in the flexibility and redering of tables, but at this point in time... divs are the preferred.

In 1996, I stated "The internet is like a haystack the size of the Moon!  There are millions and millions and millions of Needles In the Haystack and ONE is Yours!  It is much worse than trying to find a Needle in a Haystack, the world must find YOUR Needle in a Haystack the Size of the MOON, among Millions of others!"  Get the picture?
Now, there are 2 primary fronts.  Your Content being Contextually Relevant to a User and Other Sites deeming it relevant by Linking to your site, thereby delivering a path to find it.  Those sites can be other contextually relevant sites that discuss or provide a path to yours or search engines.
In recent years, we have placed a huge focus on search engines.  Why?  for most sites, 60-90% of a site's traffic will come from a Search Engine (Google, Bing, etc.).  At the end of the day, a user performs a search and the Search Engine determines if your site is contextually relevant, and how relevant is it against other relevant sites.  Everything that happens in a Search Engine Algorithm is an attempt to weigh your Contextual Relevance against others, to deliver a list to users.
Take time to make sure your website is designed with relevant content for your market segment.

Yes, with Content, plan out a series of downloadable whitepapers.  This serves several roles.  1.) It helps you to think through development of rich and informative content.  2.) It provides downloadable resources for your users and distributors.  3.) It can fill a nice Corporate Resource area in your MLM Software Back Office for Distributors.  4.) It can become the launching point for article/press releases through other channels.  5.) It can be used as lead generation... "Enter your email for the free downloadable ..."  6.) Weekly Newsletter providing list of whitepapers.
In the end, you set yourself up as the center of the universe for your subject, product, service.

Visible clean layouts have become more desireable than cluttered sites.  Rich images, large fonts, padding and space.  Not much more I can say about that.  You simply need to roam the web a little to see some cool sites that are simplified, contextual, with open space.

Saturday evening, I was having dinner with my wife when a call came into my mobile.  The gentleman had a business providing towing and road-side assistance.  He was requesting a new website design.  I took a moment to ask him about the situation, and why the odd call.  He told me I should just look up his site when I was home, as he didn't understand it.  While he was on the line, I pulled it up on iPad, iPhone and other devices.  Nothing.  Infact, on some devices, it rolled to a .mobi version that was offline completely.  Devices that did not roll to a .mobi version also appeared to be a landing page of a parked domain for sale.  It truly looked bad, very bad.  I explained... it looks like you may have not renewed the domain in August and someone bought and parked it.  He assured me that was not the case, and I would not figure it out until I was home.
Guess what... he was right.  His entire site was built in flash, the head, content and foot.  Furthermore, some script was on the page that generated random links if flash was not shown...
So, if the device you are using does not view FLASH, not content of company is shown, no design, nada, only random links like a parked page... ouch!  On a PC, the page showed and took me 3 seconds to figure out his issues.
I truly believe that Flash will soon be as readable as Text and CSS, but today is not.
Sunday, I was looking up a Cafe in an area we were visiting and found a Franchise Chain that didn't open on the iPad.  Fortunate for them... a message "you need flash to view".  So, the viewer knew the issue, and the franchise Cafe lost a customer as the searched for another one on their iPad.
Get the picture?

Width, Padding, Content, Whitespace, Flash Objects... there is a lot to do.

But wait, there's more!

  • Page Speed, keep to under 4 sec.  1.2-1.7 is awesome but hard to achieve
  • User Friendly URL's, not dynamic stuff like
  • Dom Elements, keep to under 900 400-700 is awesome
  • Limit number of calls for external JS scripts and css files by combining and minifying
  • Limit image loading by combining to sprites
  • Images loaded through CDN
  • Images should use Alt Tags on ALL Of Them
  • Scripts and even CSS, try loading through CDN
  • MicroData should be added to give better detail information on page
  • WAI-ARIA Landmarks helps those users that use assistive technologies to navigate a page.  Adds roles to elements, such as Main, Navigation, Form, Search, Banner, and more
  • Favicon to aid in Branding
  • Robots.txt file to give directives to robots that crawl and index site, telling them when and where to crawl is important.
  • Meta Descriptions in the head are helpful
  • CSS Meta Queries in the CSS to define portions to be used based on size of device or monitor
  • Twitter Cards, when users Tweet a link to your site or content, a Business Card of sorts is then attached with the Tweet
  • OpenGraph/Facebook integration
  • Windows8/WindowsPhone fall-backs, custom buttons and banners, based on device.  Allows your site to be almost Native to the user!
  • Apple iOS fall-backs, custom buttons, etc., allows your site to be almost Native to the use
Few people are aware of Threads.  Threads are like little pipe worms between a user's computer and your server.  Most servers allocate a thread to a user, so multiple threads are available to other users.  Imagine a single thread or pipe worm pushing data to a computer screen and the user clicking, pushing data back.  The pipe work get's bloated and the delivery slows.

Now, the true secret.... a user's browser is capable of connecting to mulitple Threads during a single session.  So, the limit is from server side, but we are open from the user side.  When we put in the code for images to load from a CDN, we tell the user's browser to open another thread and connect to the CDN to retrieve the images, while continuing to retrieve code/content from the website hosting server.  That is why a CDN is important.  The user's browser opens additional thread connections for each external load, allowing the original session thread to your website to be lightened up and deliver quicker.  Order of objects and programming can cause an external javascript file to block the rendering of the page until loaded, so proper programming is important.  That said, multiple threads loading external data will allow the scripts to be loaded in parallel to the web page, making such block situations minimized.

Did you get an ear full?  Yes, that is a lot to do.  Make no mistake, each are important.
All these requirements add to the code, adding to the ratio of code against content, which is also a factor.  They also add to page load.  Proper planning is important, as well as watching for the next level of requirements to come out.

You don't begin marketing an MLM Website until it is properly built.
Furthermore, many people approach starting an MLM business on a shoe-string.  As you can see from above, a lot goes into the programming/design of a modern website.  Skin Templates are NEVER going to achieve the above, as tremendous hours must be spent, leading to a cost.  Reasonable MLM Website Designs should run $3,500 to $10,000.  Yes, that seems large, but we aren't talking about a design as a Screenshot, or a Mock Up.  We are talking about the actual implementation and code involved.  In fact, just the responsive side of the design is like doing individual hours of design to 15 different widths.  Each takes time.

Cut Corners = Cut Sales = Cut Income = Cut Lifespan of the Company
Shoe-String Budget = Shoe-String Sales = Shoe-String Income = Shoe-String Lifespan of the Company

Before I close, best practices regarding the Content

MLM Companies with no experience love to design the website for the opportunity.  They love to put a link to the "Opportunity" and put a comp plan online.  They love to show fast cars, boats, etc.  I will table this for a separate article, or call me.  Sell your product first, let customer conversions of working with distributors be an internal process to start.  Keep a clean public image on the Product.  Let member access provide additional information and resources (comp plans).  Keep comp plans simple to start and don't show the whole plan.  Give instructions for the first 3 advancements only, no more.  As someone advances, show them more.  Never make guarantees or claims.  The only guarantee you should provide is in areas you can control and perform, such as Customer Support, Response to Questions, Warranty on Products.

Things You Need To Do To Rank In The Search Engines

Search Engine Ranking can be very elusive, compounded by the many articles and sales pitches for SEO Promote.  Teams of people market for your money, on the promise of modifying a keyword to bring you traffic.  As MLM Companies expand, their choice of MLM Software will play a big roll in their ability to penetrate search engines, drive traffic and covert sales.

First, What Do Search Engines Consider To Serve Your Site As A Result?

There are many answers to this question, ranging from theories of algorithms to keyword meta tags.  Actually, while search engines use lot's of algorithms, all of the algorithms are designed to determine the "Contextual Relevance" to the Search Request.
Due to the zealous work of SEO Marketers, websites have been overloaded with particular text, keywords, etc., in an attempt to tell the search engines that a particular page is relevant and should be shown on search.  They extend this work by adding lot's of back-links that are also stuffed with such keywords.  To some degree, this method has worked and may continue to.  That said, the complex algorithms have been built to reduce the effectiveness of such un-natural keyword stuffing, opting to serve up websites with truly relevant content to the search request.

Contextual Relevant to Search Request

Yes, the answer is that simple, now for some details.

Domain Name

Search Engines tend to prefer domains with words, which a user is searching for.  If a search is entered for Big Fat Cookies, a domain named has a pretty high likelyhood of being served up to the user.  There are lot's of variations, and also associated keywords that could be used.  The website url certainly plays a role in how search engines view your site as Contextually Relevant to the Search Request.

Page Title

The Page Title often shows in the Browser Tab area. It also indicates the relevance a Search Engine should expect, for the content on the page.  Be sure the Title doesn't say Home Made Cookies and the content about Swimming Pools!

Meta Keywords

This one is a thorn in my side.  a.) Some engines and directories grab your meta keywords and meta description to help categorize your data in their db.  b.) Google openly states they don't.  Why? because people stuff them with words for hopes of ranking, that are not reflected in the actual page content.  I see lot's of sites with ZERO Meta Keywords or Description on Front Page of Google, so cool your heals!  And since Google tends to provide 90% of the search traffic to most sites... this is not an important element.

Page Content (Public View-able)

Ah!, the passionate focus.  This is where it's at!  Readable content, well structured, Contextually Relevant to the term being searched.  As an example, this blog article is clearly about Search Engine Ranking.  The visible contextual relevance to a search is clear.
Years ago, people would stuff lot's of similar words in white letters on a white background at the foot.  People would not see, but search engines would.  That can actually give you a penalty in ranking now.  Years ago, people would stuff keywords in the Meta Tags, even long articles in a div and make hidden or shift of the page so person does not see, but computers see the content and believe the page is relevant... penalty, penalty.  This is what the algorithms are seeking to parse out.  They want the truly contextually relevant pages to be shown, not the ones that have been falsified.

Today, images are often indexed as well.  Each image can contain Alt and Title text.  The title text is to indicate what the picture is.  The alt text is intended to be the text shown if the image is not visible by some browsers.  Together, their words are also used to determine potential relevance.  Be sure not to keyword stuff!

On Page Links

Hyperlinks can contain text someone sees "Click Here to Learn More about Home Made Cookies" and title text shown as a tool tip on hover.  Like text behind images, this text is useful, but don't abuse it or the algorythms will penalize you!  Rel=me can also be used to provide specific categorization of links to specific individuals or authors.

External Links

Often referred to as Back Links are important.  More important is that these links come from sites with like content with contextual relationship to the seach term and your site.  Also, it is important that such sites don't have 10's of thousands of links out.  A quality site linking to your quality site simply tells the engines that they see your site as a valuable site for thier industry.  Lot's of sites indicate lot's of external influence that your site is considered valuable.

Social Sites & Profiles

Social Sites often allow Profiles.  On these profile pages, you can often put a blurb about you or your web page, as well as a link back.  These tend to be beneficial, as they are clean referrals of your website.  It is important that the Profile page and Posts on that social site be relevant to the content on your site, for which you hope to rank.

Page Rank!  That number we look for on websites, to see if they have Mustard with Google.  It helps if your back links are from higher PR sites, however lower PR sites that are contextually relevant and don't have extensive external links can be more valuable than a PR6 with 10's of thousands of non-important links.

At the end of the day, it is Contextual Relevance of your Page to the Search Request.

Website and Code

A completely different subject, but must be stated.
Poorly written pages, bloated code, slow page loads, etc. loose their consideration as valuable for search delivery.  In the MLM and Direct Selling world, Replicated Websites are often provided to sales reps.  These are often dynamic pages that do not truly exist and are not considered by Google.  True replicate with true sub-domains are a different story and we have seen distributor replicated sites on page 1 with the company!

Designing a Compensation Plan

Need to Build or Design a Compensation Plan?

First, if you have one, submit it for Review

The Compensation Plan establishes a pay structure for your sales force and is critical to your success.

First, it must keep the company profitable.  Good intentions or grand ideas of paying huge checks to sales reps is quickly deflated when the company runs out of money.  Failure to manage cashflow, inventory and commissions will bring destruction.  On the quest to build an awesome compensation model in your mlm softwarel, you must face the desire from the field for exciting bonus, but face the reality of cost of good, inventory/warehousing costs, corporate overhead, marketing expenses and more.

Second, it must incentivize the sales force to find to consumers.  Many put this as the first priority of the compensation plan.  Reality Check... your company must stay in business to pay the next round of commissions.  Thus, company profitability is first.  That said, a generous commission structure is important.  We find that 95% of your sales force would like to earn larger money now, thus first levels.5% of your sales force consider themselves leaders and seek smaller earnings on close levels, opting for depth and width to generate larger numbers.  Additionally, these 5%'ers will want overrides and other specialized bonuses that they can meet.  Reality check... Would you rather have 95% of the sales force happy or 5%?  Would you rather have 95% of your sales force motivated or 5%?  Would you rather have 95% of your sales force earn commissions or 5%?  Would you rather have 95% of your sales force upset for not earning and demand refunds or 5% upset with the company and insisting you change your comp plan?

Third, it establishes the culture of your company and it's sales force.  Based on your angle of directing funds towards persons for sales performance, you can either benefit people quickly and in relation to their performance or benefit people over time, as they grow depth.  You could twist the comp plan to encourage recruiting or to encourage retail selling to customers.  Every point and step of the compensation plan will establish the culture and drive of sales reps which will market the company and it's products.

Another important factor about compensation plans is that they can get very creative.  When we say very creative, we mean unusual, new, exciting compensation plans... in theory.  Creative, Unusual, New = Hasn't been done before, or maybe not in the combination you are suggesting.  Hasn't been done before = Custom Programming, Testing and Theorization of potential success.  Custom Programming = Cost.  Testing = Time.  Theorizaton of potential success = Risk.  I'm not suggesting not to do it, only to be prepared for costs of custom programming, cost of time, and cost of potential loss/failure of the concept in actual use.  If it is a success... AWESOME!  You set new bench marks in the industry... Hoorah!

In conclusion, company profitability, incentivising sales reps, establishment of the culture, creative design, costs, time and risk must all be weight with sincerity and with council as you explore them.  Inspetta has provided personalized assistance in these critical areas and is available to you.

MLM Software

MLM Software

The Backbone of your Business

MLM Software is used by companies, to manage the independent sales representatives, their relationships to one another, tracking of sales, and distribution of calculated earnings throughout a company's sales team.

MLM Software is used by companies, to manage the independent sales representatives, their relationships to one another, tracking of sales, and distribution of calculated earnings throughout a company's sales team. In order to perform the items mentioned above, MLM Software must include the public interface for selling of company products, admin interface for managing company products, members, sales tracking and commission calculations. Thus, true MLM Software begins with a website for public viewing and access of company information. This public website then requires admin ability to edit and manage content, so a CMS should be included. In order for sales to occur on the website, an ecommerce platform must also be included, enabling the MLM Software to conduct sales and track such sales.

Independent Sales Reps should realize a Replicated version of the company's website, so that sales and new member registrations are correctly registered to particular independent representatives. True replication will be subdomain of the company's site. True MLM Software will manage such corporate site and replication thereof to subdomains for each member in order to track sales and registrations correctly. The MLM Software Back Office for Independent Representatives should provide adequate information of sales, corporate resources, genealogy views of sales team, personal profile management, and earned income reports.

The Administration Back Office for the Company should provided adequate management of Content Management, Member Management, Reporting, Sales Management, Genealogies, Commission Calculations, Back Office Corporate Resources area and more. Some MLM Software systems may also include a news platform, blog platform, autoblogging platform, packing slips, party plans, newsletter campaigns, and more.

Costs of MLM Software, to build from the ground up and include everything mentioned above, will run over $300k and take 9 months with programmers on shifts to complete, if a proper documentation is created to guide programmers along the way. Additionally, the ongoing maintenance of MLM Software will require that you have employed IT professionals, who can work fluently in sql databases and with source code.

The costs of development and the ongoing costs to maintain are substantial, preventing most companies from going this path. Most companies will begin with a Licensed and Customized version from a Software Provider, from between $15k and $40k. Then monthly ongoing costs which range from $499-$2500/month, plus a monthly per replicated distributor charge of $1.75 to $3/month. This enables a company to obtain proper MLM Software system and afford the monthly ongoing costs of maintenance.

The monthly ongoing cost of maintenance is a real bargain. In today's technology, user's update their browser, often creating disturbance in how they view your website. The new browser can render the style or CSS differently. This requires someone to edit the site design, quickly, to accommodate the new browsers. Additionally, servers, firewalls, etc. update their software for security reasons. These updates again create instances of page or feature disruptions or errors, requiring someone to fix it. The software and website didn't change, but technology changes and causes these issues. Finally, companies need ready access to support. Managing a company will cause questions or desired solutions which may not be readily available or understood. Your MLM Software provider is critical to your company's success in the area of managing the system, upgrades, and support to you.

Can you test the waters with less money up front? Absolutely. Be prepared to reduce the feature sets, functions, and design capabilities when you request a reduced price.

Direct Selling MLM Software Distributor Sales Performance

Direct Selling MLM Software back office of Distributors is an important area of the business.  For the company, it is a place to disseminate data and corporate resources.  For the distributor, it is a place to gather such corporate data, personal sales data, and should be a place to see their current standing in sales performance and what they need to do to move forward.

Four Key areas to Personal Performance

1.) Personal Sales Performance
2.) Group Sales Performance
3.) Active Personal Customers
4.) Active Personal Distributors

While compensation plans vary greatly, these are four common areas to key in on an individual performance as a distributor for the company.

Inspetta's DB44 Direct Selling MLM Software Platform dials in this data, in order to produce more sales by distributors and more ROI for the company.  Our most popular view is the Gas Gauge View, so I will use this as an example...
For additional views and info on Direct Selling MLM Software, visit

Notice the 4 gauges.  Each represents with it's needle, the current performance level of a Distributor, as it applies to the company's compensation model.

With a quick glance, the Distributor can see their Personal Sales Performance could qualify them as high as an "SE", their Group is a bit lower... at "DMND".
Their Personal Customers and Personal Distributors have them at "GLD".

"I could get paid according to a Diamond!  But, I only have 1 personally active Customer and 2 personally active Distributors.  Due to these levels, I would get paid according to a Gold."

"hmmm, where do I need to focus my time?"
"On the left, I have 9 Personal Customer.  Only One is Active, so I should pickup the phone and contact my 8 other personal customers to see if I can encourage some purchases.  This would raise my Personal Customer Active count.  I might make Diamond after all!!!"
"I also have 7 Personal Distributors but only 2 are active."

Now, the distributor can click details beside each of the names to see sales and order details of each person, as well as email address, etc.  Thus, to do more, to raise my potential income before the end of the month, I can focus on my existing Customer and Distributors.  I could make Platinum or Diamond by the end of the month!

Of course, comp plans vary and some include additional complications, like sponsor 4 people who reach Silver to become Gold.  The company's compensation plan details will be the final authority, as well as the closing of the fiscal period upon successful calculation of commission.  This is designed to give an estimated picture of where I am, where I want to go, and the info at my finger tips to reach out to my personal Customers and Distributors to reach my goals!

There are several ways data can be displayed in MLM Software Back Offices.  This is by far, the most popular view!

MLM Auto Blogging

The internet is full of individuals pouring out their heart, knowledge, or simply babbling   Mostly, it is organized in the form of Blogs.  If Twitter Tweets are Short Form Messaging, Facebook Posts medium/paragraph based Messaging, Blog is the full content writing of a particular subject.

The benefits?... Contextually appropriate data on your web pages indicate potential value or Web Worth to those searching for info.  Take MLM Software.  If you search for MLM Software, you will find everything from Scams and Scripts to full Corporate Solutions that are actually designed to run your business.  There are thousands of competing websites, which all use the words MLM Software, however only a few are contextually accurate in providing you with details on the subject. is the best resource for this subject.  Depending on where you are searching from, the site may be on Page 1 or 2, as location based searching is also a factor.

Auto Blogging offers site owners the opportunity to have content automatically collected, often from News RSS Feeds.  An automated crawl at certain hours on particular subjects can render new and fresh content for a website.  Now, it is often partial content from news feeds, in order to maintain copyrights and such.

The downside... Duplicate content across the web is not necessarily seen as valuable content for your site.  Thus, if purely running an Auto Blogging System, you may see PR drop, as well as organic traffic from search engines.

1.) How do you benefit from Auto Blogging, while negating the downside?
2.) How can this be pulled into MLM Software Systems?

How do you benefit from Auto Blogging, while negating the downside?

If Auto Blogging systems are used to gather topics, details, and references... that's good.  To negate the downside of duplicate data on the web, simply edit the blogs.  In other words, if 20 news topics are pulled in through Auto Blogging to your site and you take a moment to comment on each, expanding on the subject/news with your thoughts, the content becomes unique, while containing contextual info.  So, as a memory jogger, writer's block stopper... Auto Blogging can be incredible!

How can this be pulled into MLM Software Systems?

Direct Selling MLM Software can come in a variety of 'flavors.'  In other words, they are not all the same.  We will speak to 'true' Direct Selling MLM Software Systems, such as those produced by Inspetta,  The systems are referred to as DB44 systems.
MLM Company content should always be front and center.  If you are selling Oranges, then details about your oranges, how they are grown, cared for, harvested, delivered to consumers, as well as nutritional details are very important.  An FAQ area to further expand on certain facts is also important.

One mistake many people make is to get a designer to design their pages.  They put images or flash on the page, which show text to the viewer, but are in general, not textual at all and are not read as text by search engines.  Thus, contextual relevance to search requests is null.

Besides Home, About Us, About Products, FAQ, Blog should be on your list.  The reason?  Blogs are intended to be regular, human edited and updated content that may be of interest to readers.

So... Auto Blogging. If you set an Auto Blogging module to grab news headlines on Oranges from Google and Yahoo News, or other RSS feeds, you could automatically create posts about Oranges, the Orange Industry, Weather Events, Nutrition, New Medical Reports, etc. would all be pulled in as new content automatically.  If done right, would create an individual page for each news topic, while checking for duplicates.

Now, if I were to visit my company's site each day, view the news articles that have been added as blog entries, open each an expand on the news with relevant information of comments, then uniqueness kicks in.

In no time, you could have thousands of contextually valuable, unique content pages on your website.

Auto Blogging Modules are now part of the DB44 Corporate Direct Selling MLM Software Platforms!
